Global Sangha is an international virtual network that formed in early 2020 as a response to the pandemic. It is centered on the Buddhist teachings of Dharmavidya David Brazier and associated Dharma teachers.
Global Sangha is a fellowship of practitioners of the Nembutsu Pure Land Way, as a path of discipleship and of faith in the saving power of Buddha Amitabha (Amida). At the simplest level it is the formation of a community of faithful practitioners reaching out and supporting one another. At a deeper level, Global Sangha speaks of a commitment to universal goodwill, firstly to each other as a sangha going through the difficulties of contemporary life together, then extending compassion to all as the expression of the Unimpeded Light of Amida Buddha. Ultimately, it is True Refuge – the eternal amidst the ephemeral - the Dharmakaya present for us now. To uphold the spirit of Global Sangha is to turn to the Light and let it be reflected in all that one does. All times are Rome time zone
